Karla joined the Southeastern Wind Coalition in August 2024. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2016 with a BS in Environmental Engineering. While studying, Karla worked with the Louisiana Economic Development group and on local political campaigns, reflecting her earnest desire to help communities grow in her home state.

After graduation, Karla moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, where she worked with various local and national businesses, events, and nonprofits in marketing, logistics, and communications.

As a Louisiana Program Associate, Karla engages in stakeholder outreach and education, supports communications, and works alongside the Louisiana Program Manager to advance the wind industry in the state.

In her spare time, Karla enjoys hosting movie-themed dinners, discovering new restaurants and chefs, gardening, enjoying live music, and volunteering with the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.
